Our financial inclusion and awareness programme seeks to remove the constraints marginalised people face in accessing formal banking and financial services. The focus of the initiative is on creating awareness about financial products and investment opportunities among the marginalised and empower them on how to use it.

Preventive Healthcare and Nutrition

One of the key focus areas of Gyan Shree Foundation Trust is to promote preventive healthcare through Yoga and traditional sports and creating awareness among the marginalised about good health. Since its inception in 2015 the Foundation has been running extensive awareness campaign in North Bihar regarding Acute Encephalitis Syndrome (AES) related health problems. Children from poor and marginalised families have been the worst victim of this deadly mysterious disease. Hundreds of poor children die due to this disease in North Bihar, especially Muzaffarpur district and its adjoining area, every year during summer. Chronic malnourishment and some toxin found in unripe litchi fruit are said to be the primary reasons for the spread of this disease. Through our door-to-door awareness campaign we educate poor families on how to prevent the spread of this disease and access medical facilities quickly when needed.

Youth Empowerment

Gyan Shree Foundation Trust has instituted Youth Empowerment & Success Programme with an objective to empower youth from marginalised families. The programme is designed to bridge the missing links in the education system and help Youth cope with the modern day challenges. Our endeavour has been to arm the youth with some essential skills that they need to get on in life and at work, giving them a solid basis for further education and employment. Under this initiative we provide career and education related counselling to youth from poor families, free of cost. We focus on 10th and 12th pass students from poor families.
